Kistler Rods: The New Magnesium 2 Rod Unveiled

Kistler Rods and The Bass Connection: Mag 2

People have been asking for months: “When will the new Kistler Rods Magnesium 2 be released?”. That time is now!  Trey Kistler, owner and creator of Kistler Rods, unveiled the new rods this week, also releasing a video that introduces the new rod series.   The demand for this unique, highly stylistic, extremely sensitive, and remarkably durable rod series couldn’t be higher.   As Bassmaster Magazine reviewed, it is the ideal Christmas gift for the recreational and tournament anglers – and that’s the beauty of it: Like the Magnesium TS, the new Magnesium 2 rods are affordable but in being affordable quality is not sacrificed but is, rather, harnessed and increased.

Jeremy Williams of The Bass Connection was fortunate enough to have two of these rods – a MH Extra Fast and Heavy Moderate Fast – on hand for a quick bank trip to see how the rods could handle a variety of bass fishing techniques.   In a 30-minute land trip, it couldn’t have been any better, as Jeremy caught 12-13lbs on his best three bass.  The Mag 2 MH Extra Fast rod was used primarily with a small underspin Pro Point Fishing Lures Under Crunch Minnow and a G Money Jigs Bladed Jig – both of which caught quality bass in a short period of time.

Jeremy, too, shot a quick video of one bass, introducing the rod to followers on Instagram and Facebook.   One thing is absolutely certain, the new Kistler Rods Magnesium 2 is beyond comparison, especially for the price point.   It’s remarkable to The Bass Connection that these rods feel and perform like 400.00 fishing rods, but are half that price.   We definitely recommend this rod to anyone who is a serious angler.   Please don’t hesitate to contact jeremy@thebassconnection.com or jeff@thebassconnection.com if you’d like to discuss any of the Kistler Rods series.
